08 How to Delete Your Account and Data (DPDP Act s.12)
Under Section 12 of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), every user has the statutory right to request complete erasure of their personal data and permanent deletion of their Gruvora Living account.
You can initiate account and personal data deletion through either of the following verified methods:
- 1. In-App / Online Self-Service: Sign in to your Gruvora Living account, visit Profile > Settings > Security & Privacy, and click on "Delete Account". Complete OTP verification to confirm your request.
- 2. Email Request to Grievance Officer: Send an email from your registered email address to [email protected] with the subject line:
"Request for Account Deletion & Personal Data Erasure (DPDP Act s.12)". Please specify your registered mobile number and full name.
Account Deletion Timeline & Data Purging Process:
- Immediate Account Deactivation: Upon receiving your request, access to your account and profile is suspended within 24 hours.
- Irreversible Data Erasure: All personal credentials, contact numbers, saved preferences, and profile records are irreversibly deleted from our active production systems within 30 calendar days.
- Statutory Retention Exception: As required by Indian law (Income Tax Act 1961, CGST Act 2017, and Gujarat Police guest lodging compliance rules), financial invoices, payment transaction IDs, and past guest check-in registry logs must be preserved in encrypted audit storage strictly for the legally prescribed statutory limitation period. Such archived records will not be processed for any other operational or commercial purpose.
09 Children's Privacy
Gruvora Living is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 18.
10 Security
We use standard security practices to protect your data, including encryption, secure socket layers (SSL), and restricted access controls. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
